Senior quad-captain quarterback Nick Kehoe was a touchdown machine for the Jeffs this weekend in Amherst's game against conference rival Colby College. Three touchdowns, including an impressive 46-yarder, and a career-high 330 yards passing earns Kehoe NESCAC Offensive Player of the Week, but that's not all-he also leads the conference in average passing yards-per-game and is gunning for the top spot in total offensive yards-per-game. The senior returns to action in a road game against Wesleyan University next weekend, and the Jeffs will be counting on him to drive the team straight to victory.
• Jane Mostue '09
In her first start of the season against Babson College, field hockey goalie Jane Mostue '09 shut out the Beavers, blocking all of their eight shots to help Amherst to a 4-0 victory. Against Colby, the standout sophomore saved eight shots, including an amazing reaching block of a high ball that rocketed above her head. Only two shots managed to sneak by her on the day. Going into their last four games of the season, with the NESCAC Tournament on the line, the Jeffs enjoy a world of confidence knowing they have Mostue and junior Kathleen Boucher to hold down the last line of defense.
