WITH HONORS: Kathleen Boucher '08 and Kim Partee '08
By Brittany Berckes, sports editor
• Kathleen Boucher '08

Coming back from an injury has not proved difficult for Kathleen Boucher. She started her comeback on Saturday late in the game against Williams College and had settled in completely by Sunday afternoon. In the Jeffs' rematch with the Ephs, the junior field hockey goalie shut out Williams, less than 24 hours after Amherst had allowed five Eph goals. Diving and sliding across the goal line, Boucher collected five saves in helping Amherst to extract revenge from its archrivals. Boucher will definitely be instrumental in the semi-finals of the NESCAC Tournament on Saturday against top-seeded Bowdoin College.

• Kim Partee '08

Junior cross country star Kim Partee has stepped into a leading role for the women's team. Having earned second team honors the past two seasons, Partee was finally named to First Team All-NESCAC after leading the Jeffs to Amherst's first cross-country NESCAC title. Paced by Partee's sixth-place finish, the team won the title with 64 points. Partee has many big events ahead of her, as she looks to add to last season's All-American performance at the NCAA Championships. Partee will continue to perform her best, and with the help of her teammates, bring home more titles for the Jeffs.
