Here's the trick: in the playoffs you can't get beat.
In the first round, men's soccer experienced quite a scare:
Amherst was tied with Tufts; each team had scored a pair.
The Jeffs' starting keeper got injured in the first frame,
Then battle-tested Jeff Grover heard the coach call his name.
This Jeff's no stranger when it comes to manning the goal;
It was a tense situation, but Grover accepted his role.
Grover did his part, as the teams tied in regulation-
In double OT, nothing got past the sophomore sensation.
The game was decided in penalty kicks; Grover stopped three.
His third stop clinched Amherst's quarterfinal victory.
While the Jeffs move on in the tournament, Tufts' season is over;
Amherst is playing in November, thanks to Jeff Grover.
