Sophomore forward Tarasai Karega led the women's hockey team to back-to-back wins this weekend against Little Three rival Wesleyan University. Karega exhibited her talent for both playmaking and scoring, taking home NESCAC Player of the Week honors and bringing her season total to eight points. In the Jeffs' 3-0 win on Saturday, Karega assisted all the goals; on Sunday, she scored two of the team's five goals. This weekend the Jeffs will look to further establish their Little Three dominance on the road against Williams College, followed closely by a game against Middlebury College, the reigning National Champions.

Defenseman Rylan Burns '09 led the Jeffs to two decisive weekend victories, ultimately helping the team to take home the McCabe Tournament championship. On Saturday, Burns played a part in a 7-0 victory over visiting Connecticut College, netting two goals and assisting on a third. On Sunday, against Little Three rival Wesleyan University, Burns assisted on two of the Jeffs' six goals in their 6-3 win. His five points on the season tie him for the team lead among defensemen, with fellow sophomore Jeff Landers, and bring his career total to 20.
