Junior Julie Kim aided the women's swimming and diving team in an impressive 163-135 win over Middlebury College last weekend. Kim won both of her individual events and swam the first leg of Amherst's winning 400-meter freestyle relay. Finishing the 1,000-meter freestyle with a time of 10:35.36 and the 500-meter freestyle in 5:10.66, Kim had a very successful meet. The season is young, so keep an eye out for Kim and the rest of the Jeff swimmers and divers who look to maintain their perfect record.

Quad-captain guard Tim McLaughlin '07 led the men's basketball team against Emmanuel College last Tuesday, putting 13 points on the board. McLaughlin's success continuted into the Pioneer Valley Classic last weekend as he again scored 13 points against Western New England College and 19 against Springfield College. McLaughlin had six assists and three steals on the weekend to help lead the the undefeated squad. There will be many more opportunities to see MacLaughlin lead the Jeffs this season.
