GAME OF THE WEEK: Women's Hockey vs. Middlebury College
By Sarah Gelles, Spors Editor
Though the Jeffs have already clinched a spot in the upcoming NESCAC tournament, they enter this weekend hoping to prove their worth against two of their biggest rivals. On Friday, three-time reigning National Champion Middlebury College comes to town. The Panthers stand at 16-1-1 on the season, 10-0-1 in conference games, having beaten the Jeffs in their previous match-up, 1-0. On Saturday, Williams continues the NESCAC parade through Orr Rink. The Ephs enter the contest at 6-10-3, having lost their last three games. Despite Williams' less-than-sterling record, the Jeffs lost to them in December, falling by a score of 5-2. The Jeffs enter the two games hoping to gather momentum for what they hope is a long playoff run. Before falling to eighth-ranked Utica College last Sunday, the Jeffs had been riding an 11-game unbeaten streak. The Jeffs are currently in third place in the conference and hope to gain some ground before entering the tournament.
