GAME OF THE WEEK: Men's Basketball vs. Colby College
After the Jeffs' electrifying, come-from-behind victory over Bates College, they enter this weekend's match-up with Colby College looking to continue their strong team play. Currently standing at 24-1, the Jeffs face a 15-10 Colby team that beat Middlebury College, 91-79 in OT last weekend. Colby has won five games in a row. The Jeffs beat Colby 69-58 on Jan. 26, though the 11-point margin was one of Amherst's closest all season. In last weekend's victory, two senior captains led the way for the Mules. Center Drew Cohen, who has been on fire during Colby's recent winning streak, scored 26 points, pulled down 11 rebounds and blocked five shots. Nick Farrell also played a strong game, racking up 22 points. Amherst's upperclassmen have also played strongly of late. Dan Wheeler '07 and reigning NESCAC Player of the Week Andrew Olson '08 led the way with 17 points apiece.
