•Kate Dennett '10

Forward Kate Dennett '10 was named NESCAC Player of the Week after her stellar performance against Williams College in the quarterfinal game of the NESCAC Tournament last weekend. After making an assist on the first goal of the game, Dennett scored one of her own in overtime to earn the win for Amherst. With the win, the Jeffs are headed to the NESCAC semifinals for the first time in the history of the program. Dennett is second in the NESCAC rankings for first-year goal-scorers, tallying 11 on the season. Keep an eye out for this promising rookie as the Jeffs continue through the playoffs.

•AJ Scola '09

Making only his fourth start of the season, sophomore goalie Anthony "AJ" Scola didn't let anyone forget he was on the ice. En route to his second career shutout, Scola stopped 33 shots, 14 in the final period. In doing so, he earned NESCAC Player of the Week honors and helped the Jeffs to their first-ever NESCAC postseason victory. The 2-0 win over Little Three rival Wesleyan University advanced the Jeffs to the semifinals against Bowdoin College. In seven appearances this season, Scola has a 3-1 record with a 2.48 goals against average and .933 save percentage.
