GAME OF THE WEEK: Men's Tennis vs. Williams College
In the midst of a blistering start to the season, the men's tennis team enters this weekend's match against archrival Williams College looking to continue its success. Having defeated Bates College handily last weekend by a 7-2 score, the Jeffs' 2006-07 record stands at 8-1. Excluding its one loss to Bowdoin College and one narrow victory, Amherst has won all of its matches by three or more games. The next game on The Jeffs' schedule is the one that the players marked on their calender some time ago. On the season, Williams is undefeated in NESCAC play and 5-3 overall. Last weekend, the sixth-ranked Ephs defeated 22nd-ranked MIT in Cambridge, Mass., by a score of 8-1. Amherst's top singles player, sophomore Zach Lerner, can look forward to a tough match. Daniel Greenberg, who plays first singles and doubles for the Ephs, shut out MIT's top player 8-0 on Saturday.
