Bub's Player of the Week: Jackie Tyler '10
By Lauren Benson, Editor-in-Chief

The Jeffs opened NESCAC play with Tyler in centerfield;

At the plate the rookie slugger simply refused to yield.

In three games against Hamilton, Tyler certainly shone;

She led off with a triple, then proceeded to steal home.

Later that game, Tyler scored on yet another steal;

Her great performance showed that this Jeff is for real.

On Saturday Tyler had two games to work her magic;

The result for the Continentals is considered tragic.

During the seventh inning, Tyler's run evened the score,

And in the nightcap the centerfielder contributed more.

Her triple scored two runs to put the Jeffs up to stay,

With a 3-0 NESCAC record, Amherst is well on its way.

Her .667 batting average is the best in the NESCAC;

The Jeffs can be confident with Tyler leading the attack.
