Entering the game against WPI in the fourth inning on Monday, Miller gave the Jeffs exactly what they needed. Holding WPI to two hits while striking out a pair, she preserved the Jeffs' one-run lead until the sixth inning. Even after Worcester tied the game on an unearned run, Miller did not let the game get out of hand. Her teammates rewarded her, rallying in the top of the seventh inning to regain the lead on a single up the middle by junior Liz Neckes that scored senior co-captain Annalise Rodli. Miller then shut-down WPI, allowing only a walk in the final frame.
