GAME OF THE WEEK: Men's and Women's Tennis NESCAC Tournament
By Sarah Gelles, Sports Editor
Coming off three consecutive victories, the women's tennis team knows it has a legitimate shot at this weekend's NESCAC Tournament title. Despite losses to conference rivals Bowdoin and Middlebury Colleges during the season, the Jeffs have won five of their last six matches; four of those victories came over conference opponents. The men have also played well of late, having won four of their last five matches. While they are 12-4 overall, their conference play has been less consistent; all four of the team's losses have come to NESCAC opponents. A league title would give both teams an automatic bid each to the NCAA Tournament, scheduled for the first weekend in May. Should the Jeffs lose, the possibility of an at-large bid to the tournament remains, though that is a more realistic senario for the women than for the men.
