The volleyball team began its season on the right track,

And senior Jaclyn DeMais is leading the Firedog pack.

At the Roger Williams Invite Amherst had a three-match sweep;

In the process the reigning champs proved their bench is very deep.

But one player stood out above everyone on the floor;

DeMais' efforts gave Amherst the winning score.

The senior provided Amherst with over a third of the team's kills;

She dominated the court, as though she were practicing drills.

DeMais' digs also kept the Firedogs on their game,

She contributed 25 on her way to MVP fame.

For the second season, DeMais earned the tourney's top award,

Meanwhile the Firedogs are undefeated as they move forward.

Coming up this weekend are Amherst's first NESCAC foes;

The Firedogs will look to keep thier opponents on their toes.
