This weekend the Jeffs will defend their perfect record as they take on undefeated Middlebury College on Saturday. Coming off of a solid win over Bowdoin College last weekend, the Jeffs are hoping for the same offensive energy. Similarly, Middlebury shut out Colby last Saturday in a merciless 41-0 massacre.

Amherst's strong running game will be tested against Middlebury's tough defensive which allowed only 10 points in the past two games. The Jeffs, however, also have impressive defensive statistics, having allowed only six points this season. While the Amherst offense relies primarily on rushing yards, Middlebury values its passing game.

The Jeffs' offensive line must be diligent as Middlebury's defensive line has five sacks so far this season for a total of 35 yards. With both Amherst and Middlebury vying for the top spot in the NESCAC, Saturday's game is sure to be an exciting one.
