By By Lauren Benson, Editor-in-Chief & Peter Stein, Managing Sports Editor

The weather was great-everyone wanted to be outside;

Fans flocked to Gooding Field to show their Lord Jeff pride.

It was a special day for Amherst athletics and the men's soccer team;

The field was dedicated in honor of Peter Gooding's long regime.

Coming into the game against Bowdoin, the Jeffs were undefeated;

And in front of the large crowd, a win was really needed.

Junior Jake Duker was there to give the Jeffs a 1-0 lead;

Scoring a goal at just 12:05 off a Taylor Downs feed.

The Jeffs scored three and held the Polar Bears to zero;

Once again Duker proved to be a Lord Jeff hero.

Last Wednesday Duker contributed another timely score;

Down the stretch, the Jeffs will look to Duker for even more.

The junior star leads the team in goals, with a total of five;

At 7-0 this season the Jeffs' National Championship hopes are alive.
