The Amherst Student Player of the Week: Lili Ferguson '10

With the last seven games of the season against foes in the NESCAC,

It was time for the women's soccer team to get on the winning track.

The Jeffs have gone unbeaten since they started this NESCAC streak;

Led by sophomore goalie Lili Ferguson, Amherst is reaching its peak.

In each of the last three games, Ferguson has posted a shutout;

Middlebury was the first to experience a Jeff-induced drought.

Amherst held the reigning NESCAC champs to a 0-0 draw;

Ferguson was solid, making four saves without a flaw.

Next up was Trinity College, and Amherst prevailed 2-0;

Once again Ferguson's saves made her the defensive hero.

On Saturday against Colby the Jeffs posted a key win in overtime;

With the 1-0 victory Amherst continued its NESCAC climb.

Three games remain, and the Jeffs are sitting in third place;

Ferguson and the women's soccer team are picking up the pace.
