Game of the Week: Men's Soccer at Williams College
The Jeffs' thrilling Homecoming match against Wesleyan University last weekend ended in their first loss of the season. Amherst, however, is still tied with Middlebury College for number one in the NESCAC rankings with a 7-1 conference record.
Saturday's match against Williams will undoubtedly be challenging, as the Ephs are currently ranked third in the NESCAC. In addition, their junior midfielder Daniel Curbelo-Zeidman and sophomore goalie Andrew Graham have recently received Player of the Week honors.
The Jeffs' impeccable statistics may leave them some room for small mishaps on Saturday. Amherst ranks first in goals and assists made in the NESCAC, meaning that its defense is often able to play with a lead. The Jeffs' defense is hardly suspect, however; the team stands in second place for goals against average as well.
