The Amherst Student Player of Week: Molly Malloy '10
By Lauren Benson, Senior Writer
As a first-year Molly Malloy established herself as a scoring threat,

However this year the forward is having by far her best season yet.

After leading the Jeffs in goals during her rookie campaign,

This year Malloy matched that total in just the eighth game.

This week the young Jeff has picked up her scoring pace,

And in the process Amherst has secured a NESCAC playoff place.

Against Wesleyan Malloy was the catalyst for the offense;

Amherst was down by one, the Homecoming crowd was in suspense.

Molly Malloy's gutsy play assisted the game-tying score;

Then less than a minute later her goal caused the fans to roar.

Last night Malloy again exhibited her offensive skill:

In a 7-2 win over Conn., Malloy seemed to score at will.

Five goals in one game is certainly an impressive feat;

Watch out Williams: Malloy and the Jeffs will be hard to beat!
