By Peter Stein, Sports Editor
Molly Malloy ’10—Women’s Ice Hockey:

Sophomore Molly Malloy’s stellar play last week helped the Jeffs to extend their unbeaten streak to nine straight games and to remain undefeated in the NESCAC.

Ranked sixth in the country, the Jeffs were in danger of suffering their first conference loss. Trailing 2-1 to Hamilton College, Molly Malloy scored the game-tying goal with just 2:10 remaining. Against Wesleyan, Malloy did her part to extend the stake to nine games, scoring her seventh and eighth goals of the season in the second frame of the Jeff’s 7-0 win.

Following her strong offensive showing last weekend, she has 13 goals and six assists in her career.

Fletcher Walters ’08—Men’s Basketball:

For the second time this season, Fletcher Walters ’08 was named the NESCAC Player of the Week. Walters helped lead the Jeffs to a pair of six-point victories against NESCAC foes Colby and Bowdoin Colleges.

Walters was instrumental for the Jeffs at both ends of the floor and was all over the glass, pulling down 19 boards in the games. After dropping 12 points against Colby, Walters had arguably the best offensive game of his career against Bowdoin. Shooting 8-11 from the field and 4-6 from downtown, he finished with a career-high 26 points to boost his season average to 13.1 points per game.
