Junior co-captain Julie Radziewicz scored the timely equalizing goal this weekend against top-ranked Middlebury College.
Late in the third period, Radziewicz was on hand to tie the game at 1-1. Although the Jeffs could not push past the Panthers for an outright win, Radziewicz’s lone goal helped Amherst retain its second place ranking in the NESCAC with a conference record of 10-0-4.
As a defender, Radziewicz has been a force with which to contend throughout the season, and has been a key contributor to the team’s successes.
Peter Foote ’09—Men’s Indoor Track
At the Tufts Invitational this past Saturday, co-captain Peter Foote ’09 led the men’s indoor track team, winning the 5,000-meter run. He was one of three Jeffs to win an event.
Foote had set a new personal record just two weeks ago in the 3,000-meter run at the Valentine Classic. This past weekend he set another personal record by shaving off 20 seconds from his previous 5,000-meter record with a time of 15:28.19. Foote sped up for the last mile of the race to grab the victory.
The New England Div. III Championships will be another opportunity for him set new personal bests.
