By Jasmine Yang, Sports Editor
Recovering from their 14-3 defeat against conference powerhouse Middlebury College, the women’s lacrosse team rallied back with an impressive 14-6 victory over Williams College. The Jeffs are currently ranked number two in NESCAC standings, with 4-1 conference and 8-1 overall records.

Junior attacker Amy Craig has already received NESCAC Player of the Week honors twice this season. Craig returned as the leading Amherst scorer, tallying up 28 goals so far. Junior midfielder Mary Noonan is an all-around talented player who regularly is a key scorer and turns over assists. Senior tri-captain Maddie Hoeg has also been a leading force in her positions as attacker and midfielder.

Tufts University sits at fifth place in the NESCAC rankings and offers solid competition. Midfielder Amanda Roberts ’11 most recently earned Player of the Week honors for chalking up 10 goals and two assists for the Jumbos.
