By Sarah Gelles
Women’s Soccer: In a season in which the Jeffs finished tied for third in the conference and were eliminated in the first-round of the conference tournament, the Williams College Ephs defeated the Bowdoin College Polar Bears for the NESCAC crown.

Men’s Soccer: Even after finishing 8-1 and tying for the top spot in the standings, Amherst failed to take home the league title. The Jeffs lost a heartbreaker to Middlebury College, 1-0.

Men’s Tennis: After the Jeffs lost in the semifinals of the spring conference tournament, the Bowdoin beat Middlebury in the finals, 5-4.

Women’s Tennis: In what was a dominant season for the Jeffs, who were led by senior Alicia Menezes and sophomore Brittany Berckes, Amherst won the NESCAC title over Williams, 5-4, in the spring tournament.

Cross Country: The Amherst women dominated the league and the country in 2007, claiming the NESCAC and NCAA titles. The men did not fare quite as well, finishing second in the league to Williams College.
