GAME OF THE WEEK: Football vs. Williams College
By Jasmine Yang, Sports Editor
It is finally here. The game Amherst players and fans have had cricled on their schedules all season is one day away, as Amherst confronts archrival Williams College for the 123rd “Biggest Little Game in America” Saturday afternoon.

The Jeffs were defeated 20-0 last fall on Weston Field, but this year Amherst will look to exploit its home field advantage. Running back Aaron Rauh ’10 and quarterback Alex Vetras ’10 will lead the Jeffs’ offense that has averaged 21.7 ppg. Senior captain and outside linebacker Guy Matisis will be a valuable force in stopping the Ephs’ line of attack.

Brian Morrissey ’09 of Williams is currently ranked first in NESCAC for rushing, averaging 129.9 yards per game. In his first year as Ephs’ quarterback, sophomore Patrick Moffitt has thrown for ten touchdowns and five interceptions. The stakes are high for Saturday’s match, as the winner will finish second in NESCAC and clinch the title of Little Three champion.
