After a program-record 18-0 start to the season the Jeffs have had a few recent setbacks, such as a buzzer-beater loss to Bowdoin followed the next night by a one-point escape over Colby from which they will look to rebound against Bates.

As always, sophomore Sarah Leyman will be key at the forward position as one of the offensive powerhouses for the Jeffs. Fellow sophomore Jaci Daigneault, currently just behind Leyman in scoring, will be a big contributor as well on both offense and defense. Senior Stacy Brossy will also be key in providing points and leadership for the Jeffs.

Senior Val Beckwith is Bates’ response to Leyman, as she is their team’s respective scoring powerhouse. She is joined by first-year guard Annie Burns, who had a notweorthy performance last weekend, collecting a team-high nine assists and nine rebounds.
