Women's Lacrosse vs. Colby
By Morgan Toy '11, Sports Editor
The women’s lacrosse team faces their biggest competition yet when they face the third-ranked Colby College on Saturday.

Looking to lead the Jeffs past Colby is the offensive onslaught of quad-captains Amy Craig ’09, Mary Noonas’09 and Kelley Trap ’11. Craig, the Jeffs’ leading scorer, has become one of the most dangerous offensive weapons in the NESCAC. Meanwhile Noonan will continue the strong play she’s had since she stepped onto the Amherst scene as a freshman, earning Womenslacrosse.com National Rookie of the Year honors. Trapp builds off an impressive freshman season as the Jeffs’ assist leader and third-leading scorer.

Senior Kate Sheridan and junior Kathleen Kramer lead the offense for Colby. Sheridan has already racked up 60 points this season with 25 goals, and Kramer is close behind with 23. The two lead an impressive team, which has lost only a single match all season.
